W 2008 roku powołany został do czynnej służby wojskowej w 61 Bazie Powietrznej w Baranowiczach. Po przejściu przeszkolenia pilotował myśliwce MiG-29. Został ukarany i zwolniony ze służby wojskowej za wydawanie komend w języku białoruskim.
